MNB Data reporting

Pursuant to its mandate provided by the Act on the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB), the core duties of the MNB include the collection of statistical information necessary for the fulfilment of its tasks and the statistical reporting requirement towards the ECB, the operation of an information system and the publication of statistical data related to the functioning of the credit institution system and to Hungary’s financial situation.

For the operation of the information system, the MNB collects data from organisations and from natural persons specified by the law. In line with the EU laws and international standards, and following the changes in the conditions and requirements related to the fulfilment of its duties, the MNB revises the data collections annually, and thus it prescribes them for each calendar year in MNB Decrees.

This section of the website contains the MNB Decrees related to the data collections in the respective year, the technical guidelines connected to the MNB Decrees and supporting the data reporting, and other information related to the data reporting. The draft MNB Decrees applicable to the next calendar year, put up by the MNB for public consultation, are also available here.
